Last day of School for 2009-2010
Today was the girls' last day of Kindergarten and First Grade :( They only had a half day of school. We decided to dress the girls alike as well as their friend and neighbor Mackenzie. They matched from head to toe.We even painted all their nails the same. Here are some pictures of the girls from today!!

End of the School Year Celebrations..
On Friday May 21, the girls' teachers held end of the year celebrations to hand out certificates for completing the school year. Paige's teacher had a class picnic that parent's were welcome to attend. She then showed a slideshow of photos from the school year and handed out their certificates. We also celebrated with cake.
Faith's teacher showed a slideshow of photos from the school year and handed out certificates as well. Below are some pictures from that day!

Summer is coming...
Summer is quickly approaching. The girls will be out of school on May 26. I can't believe that Paige is almost done with first grade and Faith with kindergarten. They are growing sooo quickly. We have a lot of fun things planned for the summer. Paige has begun softball practice. This will be her first year in coach pitch. We are excited that she was able to get back on the team she was with our first year in Kansas. It's definitely more competitive and she is learning a lot. The team is called the "Twisters" and their colors with be lime green/black. Faith had no interest in playing ball this year until is was too late for me to sign her up. She will be doing swim lessons instead. Hopefully it will help her be more comfortable in the water.
Haylee will be coming to visit us in June. We'll drive her home in July and we plan to stay a week in Texas to visit family. It's been over a year since we've been there so we're really looking forward to it!
Anyways, here are the girls' Spring school pictures. They turned out very well!!

Spring Break-March 2010
Although Spring Break is long over with I wanted to post some pictures. Jason's mom and Aunt Carolyn came to visit us. They brought Haylee with them so we could see her too. We had a great week filled with lots of fun times! We went to power play, the movies, Science City, and Grandma and Aunt Carolyn took the girls to see Disney on Ice. They had soo much fun! The week went by quickly and no one was ready for them to leave. Here are a few pictures from their visit.

Adventures, work and the girls...
Not too much going on lately. We've just been busy, busy, busy. I started my new job and I am really LOVING it. It's working out well. I take the girls to school, go to work, pick the girls up from school and come home to cook dinner and get the girls ready for the next day. Every thing is working out perfectly!!
I had a little adventure over the weekend. I met my mom, stepdad and sister at a mexican restaurant/bar to watch the Kansas Jayhawks (win, of course!). I left the bar to head home. As I'm driving along the highway about 2 miles from my exit, I hear a LOUD POP. I knew something was wrong. I pulled over to find that the drivers side rear tire had blown! I don't have a cell phone right now and I was all by myself. I have changed a tire before but I couldn't find figure out how to get the donut from under the van and I couldn't find the tire iron(not knowing that the handle to the jack works as a the tire iron). After sitting on the side of the highway for about 30 minutes trying to figure all this out on my own, a VERY nice guy stopped and asked if I needed help. He changed the tire for me and I was back on my way home. I was sooo thankful that he helped me. I thought I was going to be sitting on the side of the highway all night! At least now I know how to change the tire if this ever happens again.
Not much new to report with the girls. They are still doing VERY well in school. They have conferences coming up in February. Their school does student led conferences. Both of the girls' teachers asked me if it was okay for 3 people from the national expeditionary learning conference to sit in on the girls' conferences. They will be overseeing and evaluating how the school is doing. The girls' teachers felt that they both do very well leading their conference and would be good candidates for this!

I finally started my new job!!
I started my job with a client this week. I absolutely love it. I'm working Mon, Tues, THurs and Fri, from 9am-2pm. The schedule is PERFECT. I still get to take the girls to school and be done in time to pick them up from school. I can even make it to school parties when they have them!! My client is a very nice lady. She is 94 and in very good health for her age. She reminds me a lot of my grandma. She was very hesitant about me coming in today. She didn't really like the idea of someone coming to care for her during the day but I think we hit it off well. Her daughter even told me that my client already likes me!! I am just so excited to have a job that I enjoy and look forwarding to going too. It's even motivated me to get back to school and get my CNA certification and hopefully go up from there!!
