Haylee's summer visit....

We were excited to have Haylee come visit us this summer. She arrived on Father's Day (June 20th) and stayed until July 16th when we drove her back home to Texas. I did not take any pictures while Haylee was in KC. I kept forgetting to buy a battery for my camera so the photos I have were taken by Haylee on her camera.

Summer fun

Summer is coming to an end and school will soon begin!!! :) We had a lot of fun this summer. We were able to travel to see some family and were fortunate enough for family to come visit us! Here are some pics of the girls with their cousin Grace. She lives in Chicago. She came to KC to visit her grandparents and was able to stay a night with us. The girls had lots of fun playing in the pool, slip n sliding and then eating at Fritz's (a neat restaurant that delivers your food to the table with a train!).

Faith is 6!!!!!

June 4th was Faith's 6th Birthday!! I can't believe that my baby is 6!! She wanted to go to Worlds of Fun (an amusement park here) for her birthday. Jason took the day off work so we could go. It turned out to be a perfect day. Faith was sooo happy because she was tall enough to ride a couple of the rides that she's been wanting to ride for a couple of years now! The weather was HOT but there were very few lines to wait in. Faith's favorite part of the day was when she rode the "wacky worm" ( a kiddie coaster) and she told the operator that it was her birthday and he and everyone on the ride sang Happy Birthday to her! Softball Season is in Full Swing!!

Paige is playing softball again this year. She is now in the 7/8 coach pitch league. We moved her back to the league she played in when we first moved to Kansas. She was fortunate enough to be put on the team she had played with that year too!! Their team name is the Twisters! They have played 3 games so far. Unfortunately they have not won a game yet but they are improving every game. Paige got her first hit in a game last saturday and hit two runs in. Paige was called out when running from second to third base because a girl on the opposing team threw the ball and hit her. They called it "runners interference." I thought it was a bad call!!! Here are some pictures of her and Faith, her little cheerleader. (Faith didn't want to play this year but changed her mind when it was too late to register her :( )

Last day of School for 2009-2010

Today was the girls' last day of Kindergarten and First Grade :( They only had a half day of school. We decided to dress the girls alike as well as their friend and neighbor Mackenzie. They matched from head to toe.We even painted all their nails the same.Here are some pictures of the girls from today!!

End of the School Year Celebrations..

On Friday May 21, the girls' teachers held end of the year celebrations to hand out certificates for completing the school year. Paige's teacher had a class picnic that parent's were welcome to attend. She then showed a slideshow of photos from the school year and handed out their certificates. We also celebrated with cake.

Summer is coming...

Summer is quickly approaching. The girls will be out of school on May 26. I can't believe that Paige is almost done with first grade and Faith with kindergarten. They are growing sooo quickly. We have a lot of fun things planned for the summer. Paige has begun softball practice. This will be her first year in coach pitch. We are excited that she was able to get back on the team she was with our first year in Kansas. It's definitely more competitive and she is learning a lot. The team is called the "Twisters" and their colors with be lime green/black. Faith had no interest in playing ball this year until is was too late for me to sign her up. She will be doing swim lessons instead. Hopefully it will help her be more comfortable in the water.
Haylee will be coming to visit us in June. We'll drive her home in July and we plan to stay a week in Texas to visit family. It's been over a year since we've been there so we're really looking forward to it!
